The heart of Samsø’s yachting life. In the middle of the blue waters of the Kattegat lies Ballen Marina – Samsø’s lively and charming oasis for sailors. Here, the maritime atmosphere is combined with the tranquillity of island life, making the marina an unmissable destination for sailors seeking both comfort and adventure.
Ballen Marina has a unique atmosphere and many facilities. There are well-functioning service buildings and secure mooring facilities, beautiful beaches, green areas and a unique playground for the youngest guests, who can spend hours here.
Along the harbour front, there is a vibrant atmosphere with cafés, restaurants, specialty shops and grocery stores. Here you can buy freshly caught fish and local delicacies.
Every summer, the marina is the centre of cultural life, music and many other activities. From the marina, you can explore Samsø’s unique landscapes and historical sites – whether by bike, on foot or by public transport. It is also possible to rent bikes and cars at the marina.

Special provisions
To maintain order applies “Standard regulations for observance of order in Danish ports” with the following addition:
At the bridge in the old port’s northern basin is marked places for residents ships. Red plate marks that the place is busy, green plate position is vacant, until the specified date on the plate. When resident ships is gone for more than three days, green plate must be used.
Inner Port (Old Port) is used by fishing boats and resident ships. Southern pier is primarily reserved for commercial vessels.
