The annual competition „Samsøs bedste kartoffelmad“ is held Thursday, May 25, 2017.

We look forward to welcoming chefs, judges and audience to the fourth edition of „Samsøs bedste kartoffelmad“. Enjoy an afternoon of fun, entertainment, cuisine and of course lots of new potatoes from Samsø.

Potatoes signal that Summer is coming
Not many potatoes can adorn themselves with as many roses as the new ones from Samsø. The small yellow goodies are valued dearly by chefs and food lovers across the country. The potato characterizes in many ways the island as a place where quality, taste and proud agricultural traditions go hand in hand.

Samsk coziness
„Samsøs bedste kartoffelmad“ is a competition that exudes samsk warmth and togetherness combined with cooking at high level. The audience can freely supply themselves from the large self-service table, which abounds with new potatoes, bread, herring, butter, mayonnaise and a variety of other ingredients so they can make a potato, which is enjoyed by long tables.

Location and access
The competition takes place Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Samsø Hallen, Marsk Stigsvej in Tranebjerg.
Admission is kr. 50, – per person. This include free self-service table
