\n<\/strong>Sams\u00f8 offers superb sea trout fishing, and with a coastline of approximately 120 kilometres of beautiful and fish-rich stretches, there is room for plenty of participants. With everything from fjords to magnificent open coasts around the entire island, it is never difficult to find a sheltered spot. There are great prizes for the winners.

\n<\/strong>Well-known Danish musicians and artists will gather in Brundby for Sams\u00f8’s first peace day. Experience a surprise concert at Brundby Rockhotel, art in the village, an art auction, a market and island community under the theme PEACEPLEASE.NU! A meaningful Pentecost celebration of hope, peace and art \u2013 to the delight of the heart, the mind and the world. The proceeds will go to children in war-torn areas through Save the Children.

\nSummer in the City (Sommer i By)
\n<\/strong>Every year, always on the Sunday after Pentecost, Summer in the City takes place. Beautifully decorated horses and riders ride through Nordby with banners and fauns. The riders are followed by a procession of horse-drawn carriages and costumed passengers. To mark the procession, there is a party and communal meal, music and fun in Nordby.

\n<\/strong>A number of the island’s restaurants are competing to make \u2018Sams\u00f8’s best potato sandwich\u2019. The audience can build their own potato sandwiches and have a nice chat with their neighbours. The judging panel consists of big names from the Danish food and restaurant industry.

\n<\/strong>Join in celebrating Sams\u00f8’s delicious specialities and raw ingredients with tastings, entertainment, market stalls, activities for the whole family and much more. On Saturday evening, there will be a big party and the Sams\u00f8 Tug-of-War Championships.
